Biodiversity
What is biodiversity? It is the shortened form of two words biological and diversity. It refers to all the variety of life that can be found on earth (plants, animals, fungi, and micro-organisms) and the habitats or communities they live in.
Biodiversity is important to humans for many reasons. Biodiversity provides functioning ecosystems that supply oxygen,
clean air and water, pollination of plants, pest control, and wastewater treatment.
